  1.     Personally I despise all religion....no matter how 'good' a person
  2. is or how 'religious' they think they are, they still have lost the
  3. meaning of it...the point of religion IS NOT to worship any type of god,
  4. the point of religion IS NOT to go to church...the point of religion has
  5. nothing to do with reading the bible....in my view the more religious a
  6. person thinks he is or tries to be the worse of a person he/she becomes,
  7. the point of religion is love, kindness, understanding, and forgiveness,
  8. I have never seen any of these attributes in anyone who claims to be
  9. religious...although I refuse to believe in any god I think that I am
  10. probably more religious (going by the point of it) than anyone who
  11. believes in god...if someone believes in the christian god then they are
  12. closed minded, unforgiving, non-understanding, and non-loving...they say
  13. that anyone who does not believe in their god is wrong, they say people
  14. will go to hell for being different, for being individuals, they cannot
  15. comprehend that there is even the slightest chance they may be wrong
  16. (totally ignoring the fact that NOTHING is beyond the realm of
  17. possibility), they persecute people who are TOO different (ie.
  18. homosexuals, people of that sort)...NO OFFENSE TO ANYONE, I AM SPEAKING
  19. GENERALLY AND I KNOW THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS TO THE GENERAL RULE.....I
  20. think christians are horrible evil people that lie to themselves and
  21. everyone around them and walk around in a blind stupor, ignorant of the
  22. full possiblitlies of the universe as we know it, and as we don't know
  23. it...I firmly believe that the bible was not an accurate account of
  24. historical events but rather a semi-true fable (ie.contained people and
  25. places and major events that occured but the everyday activities and
  26. dialogues are ficticious) written to help earlier man distinguish right
  27. from wrong, to try to teach that cirtain actions made upon another person
  28. result in negative feelings within that other person, and the god in the
  29. bible was merely a personification of an untangible good, and the jesus
  30. in the story was merely a flesh representation of that good...but as men
  31. write, the meaning gets lost further with each version, and as men have
  32. minds, their feelings, personal likes and dislikes, and prefernces, cloud
  33. their ablities to TRULY love one another, thus rendering religion utterly
  34. useless.
